lyrics

Sleep my friend
Leave your sorrows on the pavement You’ve made it
Your Name is like a martyr’s fire blazing. Be at ease. when your soul trusts in me you’re safest
Lay them on my shoulders
I will hold them
your burdens
I will right the wrongs
and wipe away the tears
that birthed this song

Hate is blind for they knew him not
9 minutes pass on the clock
3 men kneeling in silence as if to pray Or three men kneeling in violence
taking his breath away
Tick tock
Tick tock
Tick tock

Hate is blind for they knew him not
9 minutes pass on the clock
3 men kneeling in silence as if to pray Or three men kneeling in violence
taking his breath away
Tick tock
Tick tock
Tick tock
Tick tock

A culmination of pain through the ages
A culmination of a conspiracy of hatred
A cacophony of cries from the innocent men locked cages An echo of how long rises in anger
from the choir heavenly souls
that were strangled
by strangers.

Hate is blind for they knew him not
9 minutes pass on the clock
3 men kneeling in silence as if to pray
Or three men kneeling in violence taking his breath away
Tick tock
Tick tock
Tick tock
Tick tock

Sleep my friend
Leave your sorrows on the pavement You’ve made it
Your Name is a martyr’s fire blazing. Be at ease. when your soul trusts in me you’re safest
Lay them on my shoulders
I will hold them
your burdens
I will right the wrongs
and wipe away the tears
that birthed this song
